Is the cupcake fad over?
Well, it may not be totally kaput, but it certainly seems to be on the decline.
The latest: The Oakland Press reports that Just Baked, a Livoinia company, is closing all but four of its stores in Michigan. In all, It will close seven in Michigan and three in Ohio.
The company issued a statement saying:
“Today, we’ve decided to reevaluate our business operations and how best to move forward as a company. Effective tomorrow, we will be closing our corporate stores. Thank you for your understanding, and thank you Detroit!”
The Oakland Press reports that stores in Southgate, Canton, Southfield and Ann Arbor will remain open. The stores in Auburn Hills, Royal Oak, Novi and Macomb Township are among those shutting.
