waving the bloody shirt of 9/11 comes off as tacky and contrived. This might be an exception. The Twin Towers' presence and later absence from the New York skyline are indelible images etched into our collective consciousness. One Woodward served as a kind of rough draft for the towers and therefore is a physical stand-in for towers themselves, so that does raise questions about the building's architectural integrity above that of an aesthetic debate among design dorks.

One Woodward Tower was built in 1962-3 as the headquarters for MICHCON. It was Yamaski's first skyscraper. -- JTW
