Employees and customers at the National Coney Island near 23 Mile Road and Schoenherr Road in Shelby Township restrained a man, 23, who was attempting to rob the joint on Sunday shortly after 9 a.m., Fox 2 reports.

Employees and patrons restrained the man as he attempted to leave, and police took him into custody.
The man didn't have a gun, just a large knife.
