Slim became none.

Until Friday night, there was a minuscule chance someone would win $1 billion for a perfect entry in the Quicken Loans Billion-Dollar Bracket Challenge.

Now there's no possibility, just as statistics wonks said all along.

"The billion-dollar dream is over," The Detroit News confirms.

A second day of upsets ended any chance of someone having a perfect NCAA tournament bracket in the Quicken Loans Billion Dollar Bracket Challenge. The $1 billion prize is insured by Warren Buffett, who can hang on to his cash for another year. . . .

It only took 25 games for everyone to be eliminated.

Three entrants still had a shot before Memphis beat favored George Washington, 71-66.

The top 20 scores still will get $100,000 each from Quicken after the NCAA men's basketball tournament ends April 6.
