Dave Bing to Krystal Crittendon: Resign. Crittendon to Bing: No

There's never a dull day in Detroit.

Mayor Dave Bing asked duly-ajudicated rogue Corporation Counsel Krystal Crittendon to resign. She politely declined. The health plan must be really amazing.

Now, Bing will ask City Council to fire her. Under the Charter, six of nine Councilmembers must agree to her dismissal. 

Expect city hall to engage in a reasonable and thoughtful discussion about Ms. Crittendon's fate with all arguments rationally presented and firmly rooted in points of law. -- JTW
