The Dearborn Heights cop and his buddy who were found dead in a garage last month, died of a drug overdose, the Wayne County Medical Examiner's office confirms to Fox 2.
Mystery surrounded the deaths of James McEwen and his friend, Sgt. John Burdick, an 18-year veteran of the Dearborn Heights Police Department.
Fox 2 reports that McEwen lived in the 8500 block of Lochdale Street with his girlfriend in the home where he and Burdick were found.
The Wayne County Medical Examiner did not specify the drug involved.
