Dearborn Heights Man Charged With Allegedly Stomping Chihuahua Dog to Death

Haseeb J. Habeeb, 54, of Dearborn Heights, is scheduled for a probable cause hearing on Wednesday on a charge alleging that he killed a woman’s three-year-old Chihuahua by stomping on the dog’s neck.

The incident occurred around midnight on May 24 at a home in the 4500 block of Fleming Street in Dearborn Heights. Habeeb was arrested later that day.

He faces charges of second-degree killing/torturing of an animal and one count of animal abandonment/cruelty.
