A deer jumped through the front window of the family home on Crest Street in Mt. Clemens Tuesday afternoon.

Nicole Gietzen was at work but her two daughters, 12 and 17, were home, WXYZ's Aaron Baskerville reports. They summoned her home. Deer blood was splattered around the house.

Her oldest daughter Taylor Gietzen told WXYZ: "I jumped on my bed and it jumped on top of me and it was about to take its two hoofs and slam me in the head but I had to kick it in the head and that pushed it back."

WXYZ reports that it took about two hours and several tranquilizers before animal control was able to carry the deer out the door. No one seriously injured.
