Democratic state Sen. Jeremy Moss announced Thursday that he is running for the 11th Congressional seat held by Haley Stevens, who is making a bid for the U.S. Senate in 2026.

Moss, who holds a journalism degree from Michigan State University, says on his website that he was the youngest-ever elected Southfield City Council member in 2011. From the council, he went on to serve in the Michigan House of Representatives and was later elected to the state Senate.
