Local imams gathered in Dearborn Heights on Wednesday for a press conference to condemn the terrorist attacks in Paris that are reverberating around the world.
"Isis and other terrorists represent the darkness of ignorance, arrogance, evil and injustice, but not certainly Islam, " said Imam Mohammad Ali Elahi at the press conference at the Islamic House of Wisdom, according to a report by WDIV's Prya Mann.
Another imam, Steve Elturk, who is a community leader, said:
"We condemn in the strongest terms such acts of terrorism that take the lives of innocent people."
