A Detroit Department of Transportation bus drive on Monday night stabbed a passenger in the hand during altercation at Jefferson Ave. and Beaubien St. in downtown Detroit, WWJ reports He was the only passenger on the bus.
Detroit Police are investigating the matter. No one has been charged.
The driver, 37, was nearing the end of her route at about 7:30 p.m. and apparently told the passenger, 45, he needed to get off the bus, Mark Hicks of the Detroit News reports. An altercation ensued and the driver stabbed the man in the hand. The driver told police she “feared for her life.”
The man was treated at a hospital.
