The pool is starting to get a little crowded but that didn't prevent Detroit City Coucilman Fred Durhall III from announcing his bid for mayor on Wednesday night.
“We would all agree that the city of Detroit has come a very very long way,” said Durhal, 40, in front of a crowd at the Boys and Girls Club of Southeast Michigan on the city's west side, according to the Detroit News. “But many of us know as we live here this city has a very long way to go."
"I'm a leader that is very focused on issues that will make your life better every single day," said the first-term councilman.
He joins a race that already includes Council President Mary Sheffield, former Council President Saunteel Jenkins and attorney Todd Perkins.
