Someone threw at least one Molotov cocktail at a Detroit firehouse late Saturday night, but no one was injured in the attack and there was little damage.

Commissioner Donald Austin confirmed the incident and said he was seeking more information.

"I know that no one was injured," Austin said.

The attack took place at the station that houses Engine Co. 58 and Squad 6 at Whittier and Lakepointe on Detroit's East Side. Crews for both rigs were in the station at the time.

According to one report, a man drove up in a dark-colored Tahoe and threw two fire bombs. One bounced off a window; the other hit a door. Neither penetrated the station's facade.

At midnight, fire stations across the city were notified by radio to take extra precautions, but no other incidents were reported.
