Police say Shawn DeRae Davidson, 63, of Detroit disguised himself as a woman, wearing a wig, pink tight pants, a pink shirt and black jacket, when he confronted and shot and wounded his ex-girlfriend's boyfriend in Eastpointe late last week, the Macomb Daily reports.
And when police tracked him down at his Detroit home, he fired one shot at police through the front door before eventully surrendering. No officers were hurt.
Davidison faces 18 felony charges including assault with intent to murder. He was arraigned Monday in 38th District Court in Eastpointe and was being held on a $2 million cash or surety bond.
According to police, Davidson approached the boyfriend Friday afternoon at an apartment complex on the 15000 block of Nine Mile Road near Gratiot Avenue, the Macomb Daily reports. Police said the boyfriend immediately recognized him.
The boyfriend was shot in the chest, but is expected to survive, the publication reports.
