Detroit Police want to take advantage of that.
Police want to monitor private and public videos and create a "real time crime center" to monitor live video feeds, George Hunter of The Detroit News reports. The department would seek permission to use the videos.
“Having access to live video would help us respond to crimes quicker, and to relay information about suspects to officers on the street,” Deputy Chief David LeValley tells The News.
