Here's some good news for the Detroit Region, which includes an 11-county area that encompasses more than 300 municipalities and 7,062 square miles.
The Detroit region’s 25- to 34-year-old population -- Millennials - rose over the past five years by 9.7% to 567,489 people, according to a report by the Detroit Regional Chamber.
Among major cities, the Detroit region ranked second, only behind Seattle, in growth of Millennials during that five year period.
The survey also found:
- 95% would bring an out-of town guest to downtown Detroit.
- 83% a gree Detroit is a safeplace to visit.
- 79% agree that Detroit is welcoming to all racial and ethnic groups.
