
Robert Foley's passion is fighting public corruption, and he's taking over as head of the Detroit FBI office just before the start of one of the most historic public corruption trials in the area involving ex-Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick and three others.
There's also the escalating Wayne County scandal, questionable pension investments and pervasive corruption within the Detroit Public Schools.
"I have a personal passion for (pursuing) anyone who abuses the public's trust," Foley told Tresa Baldas of the Free Press. "I find it offensive that dollars which are meant for (public projects) end up finding their way into their pockets. I think we're all victimized by that."
