We are still eight days away from Christmas and, while that means you have a solid week before you need to start gift-shopping, there's probably some holiday-related activity you'd like to avoid. The in-laws have arrived early or your old company invited you to their Christmas party, and not the good one where everyone gets drunk and makes out either but the boring one with clients and spouses and a cash bar.
You really don't want to go to that. It's hard to have a good time when you're basically sober and your old boss' husband or that prudish Mrs. Haversmith from the Perkins account is watching. So, here's a better way to spend your evening: December's Detroit Startup Drinks at downtown's new Grand Circus co-working space.
The event, which runs from 6PM-8PM tonight, features no agenda or boring speakers. Just an opportunity to meet with people who might be able to make your million dollar idea finally happen.
"Free content is available on every conceivable topic related to tech startups," says Detroit Startup Drinks organizer Alok Sharma. "But the only place you are going to meet your co-founder, first employee, or client is at Detroit Startup Drinks."
Plus, you can check out the new Grand Circus space.
