Where's the great leadership from our civil rights movement when it comes to the slaughter in the streets in our major cities?

Where's the huge concern, the marches and the call for real action as our children are dying?
I guess it's much easier to focus on Kid Rock than our inability to stop our self-destruction.
A state-sponsored flying of a flag that reminds us of a very sad part of our history is one thing, but Kid Rock or any other kind of a rock isn't the problem.
No one is forcing anyone to go to his concerts or to buy his music. Our focus continues to be drawn everywhere but where it should be. People are dying!
Surely, telling Kid Rock what he should do with a flag and basically using arm-twisting of a major corporation to damage this rock and roll singer is a sad commentary on the civil rights movement.
I will remind you that more than half of our black civil rights leaders have the tag Reverend in front of their names, especially here in Detroit.
These people are the leadership in the black community whether legal, spiritual or political. Politicians can't even get elected without catering to them.
Part of the problem is that everyone wants to be a chief and they're unwilling or unable to work together.
So we're fragmented. John Dickinson's "united we stand and divided we fall" comes to mind.
One of my favorite expressions is to stop waiting for Moses to come and save us -- we are Moses!
