An impish vandal played a game of anagram with an Allen Park school marquee, showing that one letter separates a jolly fat man from a fiery red guy.

Until last weekend's letter-moving prank was undone, it appeared as though the guest at an annual holiday breakfast had made a list, checked it twice and invited a substitute visitor because too many students were naughty, not nice.
Not to worry -- elementary school principal Mike Darga vows tighter security for the front lawn soft spot in his building's defenses. Here's part of what he assures parents in a letter, according to Dave Herndon reports at The News-Herald.
"We took action to have the message removed immediately. We are looking into adding on an external padlock to help prevent this type of incident."
