A party or parties unknown apparently untied the 163-foot Seaquest from its mooring in Huron, Ohio, setting the craft adrift, the Toledo Blade reports. Huron lies on the Lake Erie shoreline just east of Sandusky, which you proles know as the home of Cedar Point.
Rest assured -- it wasn't swept over Niagara Falls or anything. But it did drift into a nearby dock, incurring scrapes estimated at $5,000 to $10,000, on a $40 million watercraft.

Those with a detective mindset might wonder if the deliberate untying is a story someone cooked up to cover for a crew member who maybe failed to do the job after docking. Doubtful -- failing to properly secure a yacht of this size would be like leaving your car running in the street outside your house instead of actually parking the thing. Besides avoiding sinking, tying up is probably the most important job the crew has.
Which makes the untying that much more interesting. As vandalism goes, it's a pretty baller move -- not easily done. You can't just slip a couple lines off a post and give the thing a shove.
