In commemoration of the 100-year anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, the Detroit Institute of Arts will host a show, "Hope Dies Last," which combines live music and visuals on Sunday at 3 p.m.

Photojournalist Michelle Andonian is producing the show in collaboration with with Alexandra Du Bois, a music composer, and the Detroit Chamber Winds.
The DIA describes it this way:
Hope Dies Last is a stunning multimedia performance that celebrates the resiliency of the human spirit as reflected through the lens of the Armenian Genocide. This collaboration between Detroit-based photographer Michelle Andonian and composer Alexandra du Bois blends a live performance by violinist Ida Kavafian and Detroit Chamber Winds and Strings with spoken word, film and still photography that sheds light on some of the darkest moments of the 20th century.
General admission tickets for Hope Dies Last are $18. Tickets for DIA members and Oakland, Wayne and Macomb county residents are $15. Please bring ID to verify your residency when picking up your tickets. Hope Dies Last tickets are subject to a $1.50 per ticket convenience fee. This fee is waived for DIA members.
Andonian recently published a book, "This Picture I Gift," to commemorate the 100-year anniversary of the genocide. It includes text and a collection of photos form Armenia and Turkey.
