Bob Bashara was arrested Monday evening on a charge of solicitation to murder a witness, according to the Free Press and other media outlets.
He is being held in the Wayne County Jail and could be arraigned on the charge Wednesday.
Grosse Pointe Park police arrested Bashara at about 6 p.m. at his commercial rental property on Mack Avenue -- the same property where authorities said he had a sex dungeon in the basement.
Bashara's secret life came to light after Jane Bashara was strangled the night of Jan. 24. Her body was found the next morning in her SUV, abandoned in an alley on Detroit's east side.
Joseph Gentz -- who worked as a handyman for Bob Bashara -- turned himself in to police days later and said he killed Jane Bashara at her husband's behest. Bashara denied the allegations. Police identified Bashara as a person of interest, but he has never been charged or arrested in his wife's death.
David Griem, Bashara's attorney, said he was speechless.
