Yes, you heard it right.

The Tigers bullpen is better than it was, writes Anthony Fenech of the Detroit Free Press:

Manager Brad Ausmus won’t mind if reporters don’t ask about the bullpen, because if there’s nothing to ask about, that means things are going pretty well. And Ausmus received an inauspiciously small number of bullpen questions this week.

That’s because the bullpen did not allow a run to the Indians. In fact, the Tigers’ bullpen has not allowed a run in 10 1/3 innings, dating back to Sunday against the Chicago White Sox.

“I think we were better than how we pitched early in the season as a relief group,” Ausmus said after Wednesday night’s loss to the Indians. “We’ve done a better job overall recently, but we’ve got to continue to do it.”

Fenech concedes this may not last, writing there are still a number of question marks including a lack of depth.
