Legendary director-actor John Waters, known for cult films such as "Hairspray" (1988) and "Pink Flamingos (1972), will headline Detroit’s annual erotic art exhibition next month, The Dirty Show, Crain's Detroit Business reports.

Waters, 68, will stage an updated version of his stage show, “This Filthy World: Filthier and Dirtier” on Feb. 12, the show said in a statement late Monday.
Afterward, he will meet attendees and sign autographs. Waters’ latest book, Carsick, a fiction-nonfiction account of his hitchhike from his native Baltimore to San Francisco, will be available at the show.
