Chrysler to create a series of Dodge Durango ads featuring Will Ferrell as the beloved Anchorman character Ron Burgundy.
Sales of the Durango are up 61 percent, writes Joseph Szczesny in The Detroit Bureau.
The ad series includes a whopping 16 videos spots that cross promote the Dodge Durango and Anchorman 2, which will hit theaters in December.
In addition, the Durango is now at the top of the list of full-size sport utility vehicles in terms of consumer consideration, joked Francois, adding that, “I know this must be true because I just put it into a report I did for the boss,” a reference to Fiat/Chrysler chief executive officer Sergio Marchionne.
