It's understandable if wardrobe choices rank low among Mayor Mike Duggan's priorities in Month One of leading -- kind of -- a bankrupt city.
Still, we hope he doesn't dress like a character from "Guys and Dolls" during his next auto show visit, as he did during a preview walk-through at Cobo Center last Thursday.

Mike Duggan greets a worker at Cobo. Who do you think is better dressed?
Photos of the mayor in a retro-look plaid suit are drawing potshots online, such as these on a Facebook thread started by a Detroit News reporter who shall remain nameless:
- Boss Tweed
- Stubby Kaye
- He looks like good old reliable Nathan . . . Nathan, Nathan, Nathan Detroit!
- Yeah, baby . . .
- He could use a stylist
- Maybe he's saying "I have big things on my mind, but my clothing is not among them."
If you'd like to play fashion critic, post a comment below the video -- perhaps suggesting which man at right has a more appropriate style sense. Please stay playful, not nasty.
