Last month, Dominique Morisseau married James Keys, in Detroit.
No big deal so far.
Their venue, the General Motors Theater inside the Charles Wright Museum of African American History, was slightly out of the ordinary, but still, nothing really stands out.
A Cass Tech and University of Michigan graduate who grew up around Livernois and McNichols, Morisseau is an actor, artist and playwright whose play, "Detroit '67," attracted some positive notice in New York earlier this year. Keys is a hip-hop artist who performs as "J. Keys."
Interesting, but not yet extraordinary.
The couple planned a special wedding dance. Someone videotaped it. It was posted it on YouTube.
It has more than 400,000 hits.
Now we're talking.
A YouTube viewer named licksnkicks commented: "That is what love should be about, happiness! I couldn't help but smile when I saw this! There having so much fun and on there wedding day when it should be all smiles!"
Licksnkicks added: "This couple deserves a round of applause for the making the whole world smile!"
