Donald Trump

Former President Donald Trump, who's doing his best to influence some key races in Michigan, plans to speak late next week at a political rally in Macomb County.

Trump, who backs statewide and local candidates who've bought into his mantra that the election was stolen, will speak at 7 p.m. April 2 at the Michigan Stars Sports Center in Macomb County's Washington Township, Crain's Detroit Business reports.

Trump endorses Matthew DePerno for attorney general, Kristina Karamo for secretary of state and U.S. Rep. Bill Huizenga in Western Michigan. He has yet to formally endorse a gubernatorial candidate, even though some have gone to kiss the ring down at Mar-a-Lago.

Trump, 75, has not been back to Michigan since the election. He has repeatedly suggested that he plans to run in 2024.
