The performance stage at Trinosophes.
After hosting monthly events since late fall, a new Detroit club called Trinosophes is ready for a grand opening Saturday, the Model D site reports.
Musician and event producer Joel Peterson and MOCAD deputy director Rebecca Mazzei have partnered on this project, which includes an integrated café, gallery and performance space. . . .
The 8,500-square-foot space at 1464 Gratiot near Eastern Market was an old spice processing facility before it was the Butcher & Packer Supply Co.
Saturday's event features nine bands or soloists from 5 p.m.-1 a.m. for $20. The lineup is at this Facebook page, where more than 180 people say they plan to attend.
