That didn't take long.

The First National Grille at 660 Woodward in the First National Building in downtown Detroit replaced Zef's Coney Island last May.

Now, less than a year later, it's closed, reports Brenna Houck of Eater Detroit.

Houck writes:

Although it occupied an appealing piece of downtown real estate, First National Grille always seemed like a temporary space holder serving somewhat unremarkable diner food. Naturally, customers turned to Yelp to voice their complaints. The restaurant space currently sports window decals that tease a "New Restaurant Coming Soon." Eater has reached out to Bedrock Real Estate Services for more details on the new tenant. Stay tuned.
