More good news for 2016: Downtown Detroit officer occupancy is the highest in at least a decade, signaling the possibility that the next company needing significant office space would have to look to New Center, Corktown or the Eastern Market area, writes Louis Aguilar of The Detroit News.
The vacancy rate fell to 13.3 percent for the last three months of 2016. according to a quarterly office outlook report by the real estate firm of Jones Lang LaSalle. Five years ago, one out of every four office spaces were vacant.
