Tom Walsh, perhaps feeling that DTE might be feeling ignored with all the boosterism attention focused on Quicken and the new hockey arena plan, did one of those flowery corporate profile pieces that lack much in what you might call a news peg.
Oh sure, somewhere around the fourth or fifth paragraph Walsh mentions that the utility plans to demolish a vacant building near its headquarters later this month, but otherwise it's pretty much chamber of commerce newsletter stuff. Except for this one photo of DTE CEO Gerry Anderson's reflection in a glass window.
Seriously, what is going on in this picture? It's been bugging me all day. You can barely see Anderson and it's hard to know if what he's pointing at out the window is visible in the shot. This is to photojournalism what star wipes are to wedding videos.
Please, Detroit Free Press, don't ever try this window reflection trick ever again. It's bloody awful.
