WDIV, The Detroit News and Detroit Public Television will host a one-hour debate between incumbent Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan and challenger, state Sen. Coleman A. Young II, at 8 p.m. Oct. 25.  That's just 13 days before the Nov. 7 election.

The debate will be at the WDIV studios on Lafayette Boulevard in downtown Detroit.

Both candidates will discuss their visions and strategies for the future of Detroit during a live telecast without commercials. The moderator and panelists aren't chosen, and it's not disclosed whether the face-off is one hour or longer.

It will air on WDIV, and Detroit Public Television and stream live on ClickOnDetroit.com, detnews.com and dptv.org.

In the Aug. 8 primary, Duggan received 43,535 votes (68 percent), while Young got 17,180 votes (27 percent), according to the city clerk's office.
