It doesn't get much more embarrassing than to be president of a school that has a pretty good party reputation and be accused publicly of boozing it up too much.
Well, Eastern Michigan University President Susan Martin vowed Wednesday to get alcohol counseling, and donate her $8,764 raise this year to an alcohol awareness program at EMU's Snow Health Center, the Detroit News reports.
Her pledge comes after the school warned her to get her boozing under control or be fired.
The Board of Regents had sent her a letter citing her inappropriate behavior at a D.C. alumnus event in April that involved booze and profanity, the News reported. -- A.L.
