Easy Access: Car Crashes into Front of RenCen

Back in the day, one of the biggest gripes about the Renaissance Center was that it wasn't easily accessible.

Well, how's this.

A driver on Sunday afternoon smashed his Chevy Monte Carolo into the front door of the building, according to WDIV.

Autumn Sapp, who witnessed the crash, told WDIV that it appeared the driver did it on purpose. “I was just in shock. Who drives their car into the Ren Cen?”

The station reported Sunday that the man was in custody and was being questioned.

WDIV video showed a tow truck whisking away the car.
