Nate Silver was perhaps the biggest winner, save President Barack Obama, of last night's election. If Obama's lead in Florida holds, Silver's analysis will have correctly predicted the presidential race in all 50 states.

Let me repeat that last line: If Obama's lead in Florida holds, Silver's analysis will have correctly predicted the presidential race in all 50 states.

The key phrase here is "Silver's analysis" because unlike Harvey Fierstein's political alter ego, Dick Morris, Silver didn't pull his prognostication out of his backside or, like Peggy Noonan, develop his projections while putt-putting around some Florida subdivision counting lawn signs.

Joe Morgan sad, but you know what? Screw them. As a society, we really need to stop caring what the Brouns and Morgans of the world think. Because they are usually wrong and always ignorant.

Nate Silver found a better way. The rest of us need to adapt.
