Karen Spranger: "You will be subject to what I'm telling you."

She rode into office on his Republican coattails in 2016 and now is turning to the commander in chief for help,Jameson Cook of The Macomb Daily reports:

Embattled Macomb County Clerk Karen Spranger and her deputy Jackie Ryan say they have enlisted the help of President Trump in their feuds with county officials, including a call for federal marshals coming to the county.

Spranger, in a bizarre, meandering monologue, last week told members of the county Ethics Board that she expected to gain “authority” from the president to help Ryan in her defense against an ethics complaint made by Frank Cusumano, who ironically is Spranger’s attorney and accuses Ryan of threatening him in a voice mail.

“If my letter gets answered . . . in two days the president of the United States will give me staffing authority,” Spranger told the board, according to an audio recording. “I’m telling you now as soon as that gets signed, those documents come down, that authority will be executed to the way it is supposed to be and you will be subject to what I’m telling you ahead of time.”

County officials are trying to remove Spranger through a federal lawsuit. They claim she lied about her residency when running for office.
