But hey, this team is looking to get some laughs this year-- off the court, that is.
Advertising Age reports that the Pistons have entered into a "comedy partnership" with Funny or Die, an Emmy-winning comedy video website and film/TV production company founded by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay.
A joint press release says;
The premiere comedy website has embedded a dedicated creative team within the Pistons marketing department to create funny, unexpected and engaging content for the entire 2015-16 NBA season. ... Funny Or Die Executive Producer Betsy Koch is leading the creative team in Detroit, which includes Head Writer CJ Toledano, a former staff writer for "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon." Harlan Hendrickson, Pistons' VP of Marketing, is running point with the Detroit-based FOD team.
The partnership has already produced one video, "The Longest Oop," that debuted Wednesday night at the Palace. The video includes Eminem, Kid Rock, Big Sean, John Oliver and Bernie Smilovitz.
