
Detroit's own Eminem released the first song of his upcoming new album on Wednesday.
Eminem posted the song "Survival" on his website. The tune is part of a trailer for the new "Call of Duty: Ghosts" video game, the Freep's B.J. Hammerstein reports.
The song's words Include: “Wasn’t ready to be a millionaire/ I was ill-prepared/ I was prepared to be ill, though/ The skill was there!.”
Hammerstein writes:
The song was produced by Los Angeles-based DJ Khalil, who had four tracks on Eminem’s “Recovery” disc and also has created hits for hip-hop giants like 50 Cent and Jay-Z. The female vocalist heard on “Survival” is Liz Rodrigues, who worked with Eminem on “Recovery,” his manager Paul Rosenberg confirmed.
