Ex-Detroit police Capt. Harold Rochon is in trouble.

He was arraigned Tuesday on charges of misconduct in office for allegedly ordering officers under his command to build a deck at his home while they were on duty in 2015, the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office says, according to Steve Garagiloa of WDIV.  The officers were paid overtime for working on the home. Rochon resigned in 2016.

"This came out of an investigation we initiated based on information that was brought to us," Detroit police Chief James Craig said in a statement. "It's gravely troubling when a command officer allegedly engages in this type of conduct."

A detective in a lawsuit is also accusing Harold Rochon of ordering him to take an early vacation as a tactic to get him to stop investigating Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick.
