Mario Dewayne Green, 53, of Detroit, was arraigned Monday on charges including first-degree premeditated murder in the fatal shooting last Friday of his ex-wife at Henry Ford Hospital, where she worked.

Anthony Lee-Lamont Barnett, 54, was also charged Monday with accessory after the fact and lying to a police officer for allegedly helping Green flee the scene after the shooting.

Authorities said that around 9:45 a.m. on Friday, Green entered the hospital even though he knew he was prohibited from being there because of past stalking and harassment of his ex-wife, Latricia Green.

Green went to his ex-wife's office in the basement of the hospital and fatally shot her, the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office alleges. She was pronounced dead a short time later.

In addition to murder, he faces charges of discharging a firearm in a building causing death, aggravated stalking, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, and four counts of felony firearm.

He was denied bond at his arraignment.
