"I'm working on my game."

Richard  "Rip" Hamilton, a 38-year-old beloved ex-Detroit Piston, is among a growing number of former NBA All-Stars weighing a comeback "with the deluge of money flooding free agency this summer," Ananth Pandian of CBS Sports writes. Others include Ray Allen and Stephen Jackson.

Hamilton began his career in Washington in 1999 and played for the Pistons from 2002-11. He  retired in 2013 after playing for the Chicago Bulls for two seasons.

His agent is checking around the league for interest, he tells CBS Sports.

"I'm giving myself 30 days where I am really hitting the gym." Hamilton says.  "I'm working on my game. I'm in the weight room. I'm running my two, three miles a day. And I'm trying to see if my body can hold up. If my body can hold up after these thirty days, I will be making a comeback."
