Mike Rogers
Mike Rogers, a former former FBI agent and Republican congressman from Livingston County, is among candidates to replace fired FBI Director James Comey, Bloomberg News reports.
He's also listed by The New York Times as one of eight "choices being discussed inside the White House."
Rogers, 53, who was in Congress from 2001-15, led the U.S. House Intelligence Committee. He is currently a CNN national security commentator.
The FBI Agents Association, which endorsed him to replace former Director Robert S. Mueller III in 2013, restates support Saturday, a Washington correspondent for the Detroit Free Press tweets:

Other reportedly on the new ;liust include Trey Gowdy, a South Carolina Republican and former federal prosecutor who led the Benghazi Embassy deaths investigation; Alice Fisher, assistant attorney general for the Justice Department’s criminal division for President George W. Bush; and former New York City police Commissioner Ray Kelly also are on the list, which is likely to grow, reports Bloomberg.
Kelly may be unlikely, though, considering he's 75 years old and the FBI directorship is a 10-year appointment.
