Experienced Kayaker Found Dead in Macomb County

A 47-year-old father of three who was kayaking was found dead Sunday in Macomb County.

Oliver Dixon III of Sterling Heights was found dead around 5 p.m. in the Clinton River in Shelby Township, Fox 2 reports.

Dixon, reported missing Thursday, was found dead under a log jam between the River Bends Park canoe launch and Heritage Park in Utica, Shelby Township police said.

He was considered a very experienced kayaker.
