Ann Arbor police are investigating three reports from women who say they were sexually assaulted by taxi drivers in the past month, Hank Winchester reports on WDIV-TV.

An online news site in that city says the newest case involves a claim of inappropriate touching.

John Counts, a crime reporter for AnnArbor.com, quotes a police statement that says a 23-year-old passenger reports that a driver "touched her thigh and kissed her before he dropped her off at home."

The University of Michigan Police Department could not confirm whether the woman was a student.

She had entered the cab at the Brown Jug Restaurant on South University Avenue, according to WDIV.

The driver in Sunday's alleged incident was from the Blue Cab Co. of Ypsilanti, Winchester says the student told police. Earlier incidents occurred in mid-January and Feb. 3, when a student says a cab driver assaulted her in a parking lot.
