Brian "Peanut" Brown's Linkedin page simply says that he's the CEO of BMB Entertainment who attended Chadsey and Northwestern high schools and Jordan College where he earned an associate's degree in business administration and management.

What it doesn't mention is anything about heroin.

The feds allege in a temporarily unsealed search warrant filed in federal court that the 47-year-old Detroit music mogul allegedly is one of the largest heroin dealers in the Midwest and using his rap label to launder drug money, reports Robert Snell of The Detroit News. Despite a lengthy federal investigation, he has yet to be charged in the drug case.

He is, however, facing agun charge, Snell reports. He was released on bond and placed on house arrest with a GPS tether after he was charged with that in 2016.. On Wednesday, a federal judge refused to revoke his bond even though prosecutors say he poses a danger to society.

In court papers, the feds allege that Brown is responsible for selling heroin laced with fentanyl, the synthetic pain medication fueling the nation’s deadliest addiction crisiss. The probe also involves his wife, a girlfriend, millions in drug profits and a mansion with a secret “Narnia” room.

Snell writes:

The 50-page federal court record contradicts Brown’s redemption story crafted after he emerged from a decade-long prison sentence for drug conspiracy in 2010. On social media, Brown portrays himself as a successful “hood hero” and last month posted a billboard near McNichols and I-75 promoting an upcoming self-help book.

The BMB Entertainment websites describes the operation this way:

BMB Records is an independent label specializing in the production and sale of music projects by established and emerging recording artists predominantly in the urban genre. The Detroit, Michigan based imprint is home to many of the most talented, creative, promising and hardworking rappers, singers, musicians and producers in the United States.
