A new working space for female entrepreneurs is set to open in downtown Detroit near the Millender Center on July 24.
The Femology business lounge is in 5,000 square feet of the Charles Trombly House at 553 E. Jefferson Ave., where the Michigan Chapter of the American Institute of Architects is headquartered, reports Kurt Nagl of Crain's Detroit Business.
The goal is to build a collaborative environment for women.
"I noticed (the workplaces I had been to) had a masculine edge and didn't directly support the dynamics of women in business," creator Meagan Ward, says in a statement. "With many women-owned businesses growing within Detroit, it was time that we had a space that was dedicated to us and for us."
Fees range from $25 per day to $129 per month.
