Two days after giving fans the finger and going 0-4, Tigers' outfielder Tyler Collins is being sent to Triple-A Toledo to make room on the roster for reliever Francisco Rodriguez to return, the Detroit Free Press reports.  Rodriguez was out dealing with personal issues.

Collins is not being suspended for flipping fans the bird after they booed when he apparently lost track of a routine pop up in centerfield and let it drop in. There's no indication from reports that he's being downgraded because of the finger incident.

So far, this season he's gone 2 for 20 for a batting average of .100.

The bird flipping incident, coupled with his lowly batting average, probably hasn't endeared him with Detroit fans, and probably made it easier for Tigers management to pick him to make room on the roster.
