The organizers of a nonprofit creative campus in Corktown are trying to determine how to move forward after its two houses burned Wednesday morning, the Detroit News reports.
The Imagination Station, abandoned side-by-side houses and a large lot on 14th Street within the shadow of the derelict Michigan Grand Central Train Station, was on fire around 7:50 a.m. Wednesday.
Nobody was injured, according to the Detroit Fire Department, but the charred artist-decorated houses weren't a pretty sight for co-founder Jerry Paffendorf, who said it was a blessing they didn't burn to the ground.
